Three days of cultural events for traditional costume

The Environment and Culture Group "Arapitsa" organized a three-day event dedicated to traditional costume.
It hosted an original exhibition with handmade dolls dressed in traditional costumes from all over Greece, creations of Mrs. Katerina Dimitriadou - philologist from Xanthi, in the "ERIA" periodic exhibition hall from 27 to 29 April 2018. The opening of the exhibition took place on Friday afternoon, where a children's group from the club danced and a small reception followed. It was visited by a large number of people and was honored with the presence of representatives of clubs and the media of our city.
On Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., a speech-presentation of traditional costumes from various regions of Greece entitled "The Topography of Traditional Costume" was held in the "VETLANS" hall of the "Christos Lanaras" Cultural Center. Evi Dimitriou-Christidi, a doctoral candidate, and Achilles Tsiaras, a traditional costume researcher and dance teacher, spoke, who also tied the elaborate Roumlouki headband.
