"Arapitsa" in Patmos

A delegation from the Environment and Culture Group "Arapitsa" visited Patmos from 6-11/9/2017 and participated with 10 other dance groups from all over Greece (180 dancers in total) in the 3-day Traditional Dance and Music Festival, co-organized by the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Patmos with the Region of the Aegean. The festival was held at the summer Municipal Theater and our group took part in 2 performances, in the established parade, in a joint dance of Patmos with all the dance groups in the Town Square and in a seminar on dances and music of Patmos.

On the sidelines of the events, the members of the mission were given a guided tour of the Chora, the Cave of the Apocalypse and the Holy Monastery of St. John the Theologian.
